EDUCATION

Mr. Loeffler began his secondary education at Hofstra University where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 1986. While working full time as an engineer, Mr. Loeffler began his graduate studies and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from Long Island University in 1990. Ultimately, while still working full time as an engineer, Mr. Loeffler began his study of the law at the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College where he earned a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree in 1995.

BIO

Mr. Loeffler worked as an engineer for approximately ten years with the Long Island Lighting Company prior to beginning his career as an attorney and he is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York. 

Prior to opening his own office, Mr. Loeffler was associated with the law firms of Carter, DeLuca, Farrell & Schmidt LLP; Ryan, Mason & Lewis; and Dilworth & Barrese and with the Office of General Counsel for the Long Island Lighting Company.  While at these firms, Mr. Loeffler was primarily involved in the practice of all phases of intellectual property law including prosecuting and litigating patent, copyright and trademark matters, and has written non-infringement, invalidity and patentability opinions in connection therewith. 

Since opening his own law office in 2005, Mr. Loeffler has continued to counsel clients in the area of intellectual property law and has expanded his practice to represent clients with issues involving Criminal Law, Real Estate, Personal Injury and Wills.

Mr. Loeffler is admitted to the bars of New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.  He is also admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
